Our quarantine process, explained.

Our Yoshikigoi koi, coarse fish and sturgeon are given time to settle after transport. We use a mild settling treatment appropriate to the fish as part of their arrival care.

We observe the fish and examine scrapes under the microscope to check for external parasites, addressing any findings before release.

Once settled, acclimated and ready, the fish are released for sale in store and online. We allow extra time whenever it is needed.

Japanese koi are brought into quarantine and warmed to 22°C, with time allowed for observation and health assessment.

We carry out microscopic scrape checks and treat any findings as needed, continuing to observe the fish through the process.

Before release, temperatures are gradually brought down towards current UK pond temperatures to prepare the fish for their next move.
