💧 Care Requirements (Simple & Straightforward)

Koi are hardy fish, but like anything, they thrive with the right setup:

• Minimum pond size: 1,000 litres+ (the bigger the better)
• Filtration: Essential — koi produce waste, so a good filter keeps water clean
• Water quality:
• Ammonia: 0
• Nitrite: 0
• Nitrate: Low as possible
• Temperature: Ideally above 10°C
• Acclimation: Float bag for 15–20 minutes before release

👉 Tip: Adding a small amount of pond salt (0.1–0.3%) can help reduce stress during introduction.
